Today the tradition-rich Danube metropolis Vienna is on the program. From the pier you will pass the "New Vienna" with the Uno-City and the Danube Island. See imposing magnificent buildings such as the State Opera, the Burgtheater, the Hofburg, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Votivkirche during the trip along the famous Ringstrasse. During a guided tour afterwards, you will experience this charming city and its world-famous "Viennese Schmäh" at first hand. After a short free time, you will pass the Praterstern and return to your ship.

Trip to the Prater with Ferris wheel

The Prater is a large amusement park in the second district and officially bears the name Wurstelprater. Equally popular with Viennese and tourists is its landmark: the Ferris wheel. It attracts visitors with a great view of the city. Enjoy the ride and look forward to the magical panorama of the metropolis on the Danube.

Vienna rightly deserves the epithet "world city of music". Experience one of the best chamber orchestras of the Viennese music world. Excellent opera singers, virtuoso musicians and graceful ballet soloists will impressively bring you closer to Viennese charm and joie de vivre on this evening. The performance resembles a journey back in time to Imperial Vienna. The most beautiful compositions of the waltz king Johann Strauss and W. A. Mozart will captivate you. This evening is filled with lively waltzes, polkas and operetta melodies at the highest artistic level. The subsequent ride by lights along the Ringstrasse forms an impressive conclusion to this evening.

After a short drive you will reach the Kittenberg adventure gardens. The lovingly laid out show gardens are a real feast for the eyes and masterpieces of garden art. Harmonious plant arrangements and the impressive variety of flowers will delight you! After a glass of wine you will return to the ship.

Tour of Melk Abbey

The baroque Benedictine Abbey of Melk towers impressively above the town at the entrance to the Danube in the Wachau region. Melk has been a spiritual and cultural center of the country for more than 1,000 years. The monastery has become literarily known, among other things, through Umberto Eco's novel "The Name of the Rose". The imposing baroque building is a visible expression of the importance of the monastery in the baroque period. A guided tour through the monastery will impressively convey the former importance of the monastery. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to explore the grounds yourself before the bus picks you up again and takes you back to the ship.

The old town of Steyr still exudes its enchanting charm and provides insights into the 1,000-year history of the city. The pedestrian zone from the late Gothic and Renaissance periods will delight you. Lovingly restored buildings line the alleys of the historic city center, which not only surprises its visitors with one of the most beautiful city squares in Europe, but also has one of the most important rococo architectural monuments in Austria, the town hall. Over the Steyr River, which flows into the Enns here, towers the Michaelerkirche as the entrance to the old Steyrdorf, the historic medieval core of the city. The stores and small businesses still bear witness to the former importance of the former craft and trade quarter.

The city of Linz, first mentioned in a document in 799, owes an early economic boom as an important trading center to its location on the Danube. This shaped the appearance and culture of the city.
