The picturesque port city is best known for the Kiel Canal and the unique sailing event "Kiel Week". However, Kiel has much more to offer: Stroll through the pretty port city and enjoy the maritime flair!

Gdynia (Gdansk)

The former Hanseatic city of Gdansk impresses with its imposing churches, the Old Town Hall, the mighty Crane Gate and the car-free Langgasse - the port city's boulevard. This has been one of the city's main streets since the 13th century and even today the patrician houses tell of the former wealth of its inhabitants. Close to Gdansk is the impressive Marienburg Castle, the largest medieval castle in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stockholm

Immerse yourself in history during your visit to the picturesque UNESCO World Heritage Site of Visby. Ancient church ruins, the historic city wall and narrow streets give the capital of the Swedish island of Gotland a medieval flair!

Kalmar (Småland, Sweden)

Idyllisch in Småland gelegen, wird auch Sie der Stopp in Kalmar begeistern. Besonders bei Architekturliebhabern steht die Stadt hoch im Kurs. Hier befinden sich prächtige, gut erhaltene Gebäude aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert, die sich perfekt mit den typisch bunten Holzhäusern im Viertel Gamla Stan ergänzen. Überstrahlt wird alles vom Schloss Kalmar, welches von König Gustav Vasa zu einem prächtigen Renaissanceschloss umgebaut wurde. Ebenso lockt ein Ausflug auf die Insel Öland, auf der anderen Seite des Kalmarsunds gelegen. Wer mag, taucht in die Fluten ein: Drei Kilometer südlich des Zentrums ragt die längliche Insel Stensö mit herrlichen Stränden in die Ostsee und lädt zum Baden ein.

Rønne (Bornholm)

Kopenhagen

Experience the legendary Danish nonchalance in beautiful Copenhagen! Be enchanted by the colorful facades of the gabled houses by the old harbor, taste regional specialties such as Smørrebrød, the sandwich of Nordic cuisine, and explore the famous amusement park Tivoli. And don't forget a visit to the city's landmark - the Little Mermaid!
